Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of OrbitFocus at orbitfocus.sbs. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Last updated: October 27, 2026.

The service

OrbitFocus is a free focus timer, task list and set of written guides about productivity methods. It is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

Your data

Your tasks, session history, settings, theme and any custom background are stored on your own device, in your browser, and are not uploaded to our server (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping your own copies. Clearing your browser data, switching browsers or devices, or using private browsing can delete your data permanently, and we cannot recover it. Use "Export backup" in Settings, or the optional Google Drive backup where it is offered, to keep a copy. Custom backgrounds are not included in backups.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to disrupt or overload it, probing it for vulnerabilities, scraping it at a rate that affects other visitors, or using it for anything unlawful. Only choose background images or videos that you have the right to use.

Content and intellectual property

The text of the guides and the design and code of the site belong to OrbitFocus unless stated otherwise. You may link to any page, and you may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back. Please do not republish whole pages without permission. Third-party names and marks are the property of their owners. Pomodoro® is a registered trademark of its owner; OrbitFocus is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the trademark owner. Todoist, Any.do and other products we mention belong to their respective companies.

No professional advice

The guides are general information about productivity techniques. They are not medical, psychological, financial, legal or other professional advice. We cite sources where we make factual statements, but research can be limited or change over time, and a method that helps some people may not help you. If you have a health concern, including fatigue, attention difficulties or stress, please speak with a qualified professional.

The site links to external websites, including product pages in the "Tools we like" section, the optional Google Drive backup uses Google's services under Google's own terms, and the optional music player in Custom mode shows YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud or Apple Music players under those services' own terms. We do not control those sites and services and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link is not a guarantee or endorsement of everything on the other site. If we begin earning commissions from any link, we will say so clearly.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. The timer depends on your browser and device, and notifications or sounds may not work in every environment. Do not rely on it for anything where a missed alert could cause harm.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OrbitFocus and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes and availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site, and we may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest revision, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
